Lots of Bedroom Chairs

Design a chair can make you a bespoke bedroom chair. We can customise design, dimensions and fabrics on your bedroom or funky chair. Design a chair would like to thank even more people for sending images of bedroom chairs, although we doubt many were originally made for the bedroom.

Firstly we would thank Claire for reminding us of Charles Pollock, a brilliant chair designer from the mid sixties. His most famous design was the executive chair, but he designed a portfolio of chairs that were very similar.

Whatever you think of Pollock’s chairs, no way were they bedroom chairs. However, fifty years on they have become an icon and very much sought after as a bedroom chair. If you buy a Pollock occasional chair, Design a Chair can recover it to make it work as a bedroom chair

Kati threw another iconic chair designer into the mix, Howard Keith.

Initially we were embarrassed for not knowing the name but we later realised his manufacturing company was HK which we knew very well. Like Pollock his 50’s and 60’s designs were not bedroom chairs but revolutionary occasional chairs and in this day and age would be called funky chairs. As with Pollock, if you acquire a Howard Keith chair we at Design a Chair can recover and refurbish it into a trendy bedroom chair.

Design a Chair has just launched Jigsaw as a funky chair. It’s a fun design and the chair sides are shaped as jigsaw pieces. To add to the theme we have used a plain woolly textured fabric for the sides and a beautiful chenille stripe for seat, inside back and outside back.

Again, Design a Chair did not design Jigsaw as a bedroom chair. However could it be possible that my grand-son in fifty years time will be offering to recover Jigsaw chairs and converting them to bedroom chairs.
